The TREASURE project

To establish a fully green energy system in Europe, flexible energy management is vital, especially with intermittent sources like wind and solar.

The TREASURE project is developing large underground heat storage essential for utilizing renewable energy in heating communities and industries. Through 7 demonstration projects across 5 countries, we are refining storage techniques collaboratively, leveraging data from existing projects for continuous improvement.

With diverse partners including suppliers, builders, researchers, and energy firms, TREASURE aims to streamline the implementation of over 2000 storages, crucial for achieving a carbon-free energy system.  Follow us and stay tuned for updates!
