16th International Modelica & FMI Conference in Luzern

We are delighted that our partner AEE INTEC was represented at the 16th International Modelica Conference in Lucerne on September 8–10, 2025.

Carles Ribas Tugores from AEE INTEC presented a poster on the Absolut Modelica Library, an open-source library for absorption thermodynamic cycles. These heat-driven processes can provide heating and cooling without direct electricity use, offering significant potential for accelerating the clean energy transition.

The next step for this important innovation will be its application in the TREASURE project, coordinated by AEE INTEC. TREASURE is demonstrating seven large-scale earth basin reservoirs in five European countries as part of its mission to advance sustainable heating and cooling solutions.

The International Modelica & FMI Conference is the leading event for users, developers, and researchers in the field of system modelling and simulation. Bringing together experts from academia and industry, the conference highlights innovations in digital twins, embedded systems, and cyber-physical modelling - all crucial for the transition to smarter and more efficient energy systems.

We congratulate Carles Ribas Tugores and the team at AEE INTEC for their successful participation and for bringing the TREASURE project into the spotlight of the international modelling community.
