TREASURE at openLCA Conference 2026

The TREASURE project was represented at the openLCA Conference 2026, held on 22–23 April in Berlin, Germany. The event brought together experts in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to exchange knowledge on sustainability assessment, methodologies, and tools.

As part of the programme, TREASURE contributed with a poster presentation titled:
Life Cycle Assessment of a Tank Thermal Energy Storage (TTES) integrated into a district heating network, prepared by Helene Mihatsch, Simon Moser, and Lukas Zeilerbauer (Energieinstitut an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz).

The poster explores the environmental performance of thermal energy storage systems within district heating networks, highlighting the role of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in evaluating their impact.

The conference provided an opportunity to engage with the research community, exchange insights, and contribute to ongoing discussions on sustainability in the energy sector.
