JOIN THE FIFTH IEA-ES TASK 45 Q&A SESSION ON LARGE THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE

The IEA-ES Task 45 group is organising its fifth online Q&A session, focusing on a range of practical and technical questions related to Large Thermal Energy Storage (LTES). The session will take place on 5 November 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00 (CET).

During the session, experts will address questions submitted so far, covering areas including:

  • LTES types of ownership

  • LTES technologies

  • Market barriers and economics of LTES

  • LTES and heat pumps

  • LTES terminology

  • LTES combined with geothermal

Participants are also invited to submit new questions in advance. Questions will be answered during the upcoming session if time allows, or addressed in future webinars and Q&A events.

The event is free of charge and will be held online via Microsoft Teams. Registration is required, and the meeting link will be sent after registration.
