TREASURE Publishes Three New Public Deliverables on Financing, Cooperation, and Training
The TREASURE project has released three new public deliverables that provide insights into financing strategies for Pit Thermal Energy Storage (PTES), cooperation with European initiatives, and educational materials supporting knowledge transfer in large thermal energy storage.
The deliverables are publicly available for download on the TREASURE project website and on Zenodo, the open research repository that ensures the long-term accessibility of project outputs.
Together, these documents contribute to the project’s broader objective of accelerating the deployment of large-scale thermal energy storage solutions and supporting the transition toward sustainable district heating systems across Europe.
Deliverable D2.2 – Financing and Organisational Experiences
Deliverable D2.2 explores financing strategies and organisational models for implementing Pit Thermal Energy Storage projects in different European contexts.
The report analyses how PTES projects can develop robust business cases, taking into account regulatory conditions, ownership structures, and investment frameworks. It also presents practical experiences from TREASURE demonstrator projects and insights gathered through collaboration and knowledge exchange among partners.
By outlining feasible financing mechanisms and organisational approaches, the report supports stakeholders in developing viable PTES projects that can attract long-term investment.
Deliverable D8.5 – Mid-Term Report on Clustering and Cooperation Activities
Deliverable D8.5 provides an overview of the clustering and cooperation activities carried out during the first half of the TREASURE project.
The report highlights collaboration with sister EU-funded projects, participation in European platforms, and engagement with international initiatives and satellite projects. It also documents joint workshops, webinars, and stakeholder engagement activities designed to strengthen knowledge exchange and promote coordinated dissemination of project results.
These collaboration mechanisms help increase the visibility of the TREASURE project and contribute to building a strong network around thermal energy storage technologies.
Deliverable D8.7 – Intermediate Version of Training Material
Deliverable D8.7 introduces the intermediate version of the TREASURE training materials designed to support education and knowledge transfer in the field of large thermal energy storage technologies.
The material has been developed based on teaching activities and aims to provide structured educational content on energy storage concepts and technologies, including large-scale thermal storage solutions. The training resources will continue to evolve as feedback is collected and additional improvements are implemented in later stages of the project.
Through these materials, TREASURE contributes to strengthening skills and expertise needed to support the wider adoption of innovative energy storage technologies.
