TREASURE Will Be at EuroGeo8

TREASURE is proud to announce its participation in the EUROGEO 8 Conference, taking place from 15–18 September 2025 in Lille, France. Our partner Hendrik Wetzel from PlanEnergi will be representing the project, engaging with the global community of engineers, researchers, and industry specialists.

With more than five decades of successful application, geosynthetics have become a widely acknowledged and sustainable alternative to conventional construction solutions. The EUROGEO 8 programme is dedicated to advancing the correct use of geosynthetics, focusing on aspects such as design service life, functions, long-term performance, durability, and the environmental impact of geosynthetic applications.

The conference will host a rich variety of sessions covering topics that align closely with TREASURE’s objectives, including:

  • Sustainability with geosynthetics

  • Environmental performance and circular economy

  • Innovative materials and technologies

  • Durability, testing, and quality assurance

  • Applications in transportation, water management, mining, and remediation

  • Case histories and engineering practice

EUROGEO 8 will also feature special sessions for young professionals, as well as an educational competition for demonstrating the multi-functional effectiveness of geosynthetics in a laboratory setting.

TREASURE’s participation in this international forum underscores our commitment to innovative, sustainable solutions in the field of district heating and cooling, and to learning from other sectors and disciplines where such materials can contribute to climate-neutral infrastructure.
