IEA-ES Task 45 Q&A Session on Large Thermal Energy Storage

The IEA-ES Task 45 group is organising its next online expert Q&A session dedicated to Large Thermal Energy Storage (LTES). The session, titled Accelerating the uptake of Large Thermal Energy Storage (LTES), will take place on 11 June 2026 from 13:00 to 14:00 (CEST).

During the session, experts will address questions submitted so far, covering several key areas:

  • Market review

  • Conventional and new LTES technologies

  • Type of ownership

  • LTES planning, policy, and regulations

  • LTES financing and bankability

Participants are also invited to submit new questions in advance. Questions will be answered during the session, where time allows, or in future webinars and Q&A sessions.

The event is free of charge and will be held online. Registration is required.
